TGC Headquarters History Trustee report: (updated 12/2008)
Our headquarters is doing great. We have many things as usual going on at headquarters. The Trustees met in July and several items were presented and decisions were made.
The gutters have been replaced and new carpet has been installed in the Library. There were several trees blown down in the garden. They have been cleared away and our pocket gardens are growing in numbers. If your garden club is interested in one, contact Jimmie Nell Courtney, who has done a good job with our gardens.
Our sign needs refurbished. Janice is checking into our sign and the bricks to continue the President’s walk. These items will be addressed at our Trustees meeting in San Angelo (October 2008) as well as several others that come up.
The Trustees from each district are continuing to stay on top of everything. Please continue to give to the Endowment Fund, and mark your checks spendable.
Thank you garden club members for all of your support. Please go and visit your Headquarters. Make a pilgrimage for your garden club, make a day of it and see the Bontanic Gardens while there. There will be some changes in them soon.
